Little Lions was registered in 2014. At the end of 2015 we achieved an "OUTSTANDING" rating by Ofsted on our very first inspection.
Set in a beautiful stone Grade II listed building which was completely refurbished to create the perfect environment for children; ensuring they are safe, secure and have the best opportunities to learn and develop; reaching their full potential in readiness for moving to school.
We are at the heart of Chesterfield town centre, making the nursery accessible from all surrounding areas. We are close to local amenities and take full advantage of these with the children; making regular visits to the library, local market and the wider community.
Three main play rooms are designed especially for Babies (0-2 years), Toddlers (2-3 years) and Pre-school (3- 5 years). All children have access to a secure outdoor play area where the children will learn and develop exploring the beautiful outdoor environment. The children have access to a climbing frame, vegetable plots and planters, sand and water pits and a mud kitchen; ensuring that all areas of learning are catered for outdoors as well as in.
The safety and well-being of your child is essential. At the entrance of the nursery there is a digital intercom system, which enables staff to identify all visitors before allowing anyone access into the nursery building. A full CCTV system is installed and monitored daily.
